The global championships of football, ice hockey, table tennis, etc. started from 1939 to 1945 during World War II. After this, motorcycling, water skiing, badminton, basketball, snow jumping and rugby league started.
By 1971, the championship of rowing, balls, lacrosse and field hockey had begun. But the first Cricket World Cup organized by the ICC was actually linked to women. Women’s Cricket World Cup was held for the first time in 1973. On July 28, 1973, HRH Princess Anne in Edgbaston handed the Women’s Trophy to England.
Three days later, the International Cricket Conference was held, in which the proposal of the Test and County Cricket Board was approved to hold the 60-over Cricket World Cup. The organizer also got this for 1972 was the support of England insurer Prudential Assurance(Prudential Assurance) assigned to Czech of 1 million pounds. It was decided that 10 per cent of the profits will get 7.5 percent from the organizer board and the rest of the seven teams.
