Netflix, Hotstar and Sony LIV will not appear on bold content
To give away films from the leak, to serve in the name of the language of colloquial language and to keep some such scenes in their film, which can not be seen with the family, they are now fashionable. But now online streaming platforms Netflix, Hotstar, Jio, Voot, Arre, Sony LIV, ALT Balaji and Eros Now have signed the self-cencorship code, under which these over-the top (OTT) platforms no longer show offensive and inflammable content. Will give The Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) has helped in the preparation of this code draft. If these rules are followed then people will not be able to see bold content in the upcoming series like the current content.
Why need it?
There are various kinds of bold content on online platforms, in this case the questions of presenting the society in wrong way are rising. The Indian Central Board of Film Certification does not have the power to censor the content of the Internet. According to the law, these certifications are needed only to screen films and to show the trailer on the theater and TV. But the demand for regulating the online cut-outs after Anchag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwani’s WebSeries Sacred Games has increased.
This type of content will not appear
under this code. The contents of these online platforms will not be shown on the court side. Apart from this, the content that promotes the national symbol, the content of the Tricolor, the promotion of terrorism or violence, and the content showing children sexual act will also be banned.
Amazon’s stand aside
