Mumbai: A total of 60 and 67 percent voting was conducted in Dhule and Ahmednagar municipal elections, according to state election commissioner. S Sahariya said here today.
Saharia said that the voting was done in 73 constituencies of Dhule municipal corporation. One seat has been elected uncontested and total 74 seats. For Scheduled Castes, 6 for Scheduled Tribes, and 20 for the Backward Classes, 20 seats were reserved.
Polling for 68 seats in 17 divisions of Ahmednagar Municipal Corporation. For Scheduled Castes, 9 for Scheduled Tribes and 18 for Backward Classes, 18 seats are reserved for them. Counting will begin at 10 o’clock in the morning (10am). After the results are announced, the Code of Conduct will expire.
