Former Kerala leg-spinner KN Ananthapadmanabhan has been promoted to the Worldwide Cricket Council’s (ICC) worldwide panel of umpires. Ananthapadmanabhan would be the fourth Indian umpire on the worldwide panel and fills the emptiness created by Nitin Menon’s transfer to the ICC Elite Panel, ESPNcricinfo reported. The opposite three Indians on the worldwide panel are C Shamshuddin, Anil Chaudhary and Virender Sharma.
Ananthapadmanabhan has an unlimited expertise of officiating in each home event in India, together with the IPL, an England Lions match, and Girls’s Checklist A and T20 video games.
He had additionally represented Kerala in 105 first-class matches from 1988 to 2004. He was the primary participant from his state to realize the double of 2000 runs and 200 wickets within the Ranji Trophy.
