Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached Parliament House this morning after meeting with PM Narendra Modi. He is going to give a statement in this regard in Parliament shortly.
Earlier, he said that the government will answer every question on Kashmir. It is believed that the Home Minister himself will inform the Parliament about the decision taken in the meeting of the Union Cabinet on Kashmir issue at the residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
There can be a historical announcement about Kashmir in this. Before this, the Cabinet meeting was held at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence amid speculation about Kashmir. The importance of this cabinet meeting could be understood from the fact that Union Home Minister Amit Shah had reached the Prime Minister’s House about an hour before the scheduled meeting.

It is being speculated that in the cabinet meeting chaired by the PM, a decision has been taken to remove article 35A from Jammu and Kashmir with discussion on the situation.
Speculations for the removal of Article 35A have intensified amid political tension in Jammu and Kashmir. 35A was added to the Constitution in 1954 through a presidential order.

to the country’s well-known constitutional expert Subhash Kashyap says, Article 35 A will be referred to a proposal by President governor to eliminate the position and give the President their approval to the proposal. Since there is currently President’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir, the governor is the head of the state. In an interaction with Navbharat Times Online , Kashyap said that order to remove 35 A will be issued in the same way as in the year 1954, while issuing executive order by then President Rajendra Prasad.
Former finance minister and senior lawyer Jaitley has also given signals
Former finance minister Arun Jaitley had said on 35A before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections that it is a constitutional puzzle and it was not added to the Constitution by any amendment. He said that it is an article made with the notification of the President. It was included in the constitution from the backdoor. This was a violation of the right to equality as it promotes discrimination between two categories of citizens. It is also constitutionally weak.
Farooq Abdullah reaction on Jammu and Kashmir’s special status
Srinagar: An all-party meeting was held on Sunday at the home of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference Leader Farooq Abdullah amid growing tensions in Kashmir. PDP chairperson Mehbooba Mufti, Shah Faisal, Sajjad Lone and Congress leaders were also present on the occasion. The current status of the state as well as the special status of the state was discussed. Under no circumstances will the special status of Jammu and Kashmir be taken away, “Abdullah said.
Opponents have raised suspicion that the Modi government has initiated the move only to repeal Article A and Article 2 of the constitution. Central government deployed additional troops in the state. The tourists were also asked to leave Kashmir till Monday. Therefore, political developments in Kashmir are changing rapidly.
Farooq Abdullah said that the people here were terrified as such a large army had already been deployed. It had never happened before that the Amarnath Yatra was canceled. He appealed to the people of Kashmir for peace. We urge the President and the Prime Minister not to take any such step by the Government, which will create tension in the Kashmir Valley and disrupt the peace here. Farooq Abdullah said at the meeting that all the parties in the meeting had unanimously decided that we would remain united to protect the special status, identity and autonomy of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, no matter what the attacks or whatever else happened.
