In an interaction with Navbharat Times Online , Kashyap said that order to remove 35 A will be issued in the same way as in the year 1954, while issuing executive order by then President Rajendra Prasad.
Former finance minister and senior lawyer Jaitley has also given signals
Former finance minister Arun Jaitley had said on 35A before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections that it is a constitutional puzzle and it was not added to the Constitution by any amendment. He said that it is an article made with the notification of the President. It was included in the constitution from the backdoor. This was a violation of the right to equality as it promotes discrimination between two categories of citizens. It is also constitutionally weak.
