Large initiative to promote E-Vehicle, A charging station will be Installed on every 10-20km.
Electricity Equipment Manufacturer Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has stated that it has set up the first station under the series of solar-powered electric vehicle charging stations on the Delhi-Chandigarh highway. BHEL said that this project falls under the Femme Plan (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid) and Electric Vehicles in India.
The government is working fast to promote electric vehicles. In order to set up the infrastructure in this link, the government is preparing to set up a charging station on the highway.
40 Electric Stations to be Built on Delhi Chandigarh Highway
Under this major initiative on e-vehicles, the charging station will be built on the large and busy highways. There will be 40 stations on the Delhi-Chandigarh highway. There will be a charging station at every 10-20km. These charging stations will run from Solar Power.
